Remember that song by Britney, Gimme More when she introduced herself like It’s Britney, Bitch? Well, it should read more like It’s Viola & Taraji, Bitch!
Viola Davis & Taraji P. Henson are nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Doubt and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, respectively. Both films have not been released in Europe yet but will be getting a UK release in February 2009.

Aulelia,
It’s great to have you back!
I saw “The Curious Case..etc” with the Queen on our “date night”and we really enjoyed it. Tajari was excellent in her role.
I am interested in seeing “Doubt” but not sure I’ll see it before the Awards. I heard that Meryl Streep is nominated for Best Actress for her role in the film. If you see it, let us know what you thought of it.
Did I mention it’s great to have you back!?
Blessings!
Asa
Hi Asa,
I am so anxious to see Doubt and Button! I am a hardcore Meryl stan and I love Taraji & Brad Pitt too (the latter for non-cerebral reasons).
I noticed on your blog you have seen Gran Torino. I am also needing to see that as well.
It’s great to be back!

Taraji looks like she oughta be with me.
Welcome back, Aulelia!!
@thefreeslave: Taraji is so cool! I was watching E! and Taraji and Viola looked so happy. I really hope either one of them gets a nomination.
Both movies are good, but Taraji is my pick for best Supporting. As I stated on my review of the nom..Taraji is that “around the way girl” all sistahs identify with, but she has truly grown as an actress and this role as Queenie was very believable. I see great things for both actresses. Benjamin Button is a great movie with alot of messages.
