I saw the interview below with Zambian economist and author Dambisa Moyo on how developmental aid is stagnating and harming African development.

Ms. Moyo details her arguments in her book: Dead Aid: Why Aid Is Not Working and How There Is a Better Way for Africa”. Her work is seen as controversial, especially among those who benefit from both the giving and receiving of this aid. She advocates Western countries providing support to African entrepreneurship and legislating fair trade policies, instead of the current foreign aid system that doesn’t benefit the majority of the people and encourages, as well as perpetuates corruption.
