The hip hop artist GURU (Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal), a member of Gang Starr and the creator of the influential rap-jazz series “Jazzmatazz”, died on Monday from respiratory complications associated with multiple myeloma. He was 47 years old.
Rest In Peace
This was nice! I really love Donald Bird, especially Dominoes. My favorite by Gang Starr though was Jazz Thing from Mo Betta Blues Soundtrack.
I love the blending of Jazz and Hip Hop the way Guru did it!
That era of the early 90s was so rich in Hip hop, and at the time I was really into Coltrane and the rest of them!!!
RIP–Guru, so young!
