After reading Senator Harry Reid’s [“unintentional“] racist comment, I went into blank stare mode, then snapped out & went straight into no that mutha fucka didn’t mode. In case you’ve been under a rock, this fool said privately that he believed Barack Obama was well suited to a presidential run because he is a "light-skinned" African American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

First, of all, it’s clear that there is a fear/dislike of the dark skinned Black. Reid’s statement & many echoed around news outlets, blogs etc have led me to believe that all of these incidences of unintentional racism go to the core of beliefs held by many white Americans.

I don’t know how many times today I’ve heard that Barack Obama would have not been our president had he been darker. Sounds like some Willie Lynch shit to me. Is a light Negro less dangerous & friendlier than a dark Negro?

Truth be told, if our ancestors were not raped and… No, I won’t go there, that’s another blog post.

Second, what the fuck is a “Negro dialect?” I’ve been searching for that meaning all weekend! And how does Reid know who has the ability to turn said dialect on & off? Is the ability to turn it on & off based on skin complexion?

Dictionary.com defines dialect as – a variety of a language that is distinguished from other varieties of the same language by features of phonology, grammar, and vocabulary, and by its use by a group of speakers who are set off from others geographically or socially.

Black Americans, just like any other group on this country are now homogeneous. And the last time I polled, my Negro friends, 94.254% of them sounded like my white friends. I’m just saying.

So now people, mainly republicans are calling on Reid to step down. I’m actually torn on this; not sure if he straight up needs to go or if he needs a verbal bitch slap from the top down; starting with the Black Messiah (Barack Obama) himself. Well, I guess that verbal bitch slap from the Black Messiah won’t be coming. He just feels that Reid used “inartful language.”

Lastly, I have an issue with the Congressional Black Caucus unequivocally backing Reid. Where’s the out rage in our “Black” leaders on Capital Hill?

Now: Do I dare broach the subject of a white man claiming that he’s blacker than a Black man? A nasty looking white man, who’s a disgrace to the state of IL, politics in general & possibly his race thinks that he’s blacker than a Black men; the man running this fucking nation? I think not!

Obama may be a lot of things, but one thing is, he is undeniably is the quintessential Black man in every fashion.

This fool Rod Blababitch Blagojevich said to Esquire magazine:

“I'm blacker than Barack Obama. I shined shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little Laundromat in a black community not far from where he lived. I saw it all growing up.”

Since when does shining shoes give a white man a ghetto pass? Shit, I play golf but that doesn’t make me white, or wanted on the golf course. Actually, I don’t play golf; I just want to make a point.

Honestly, I can’t even be mad at Blagojevich for his dumb ass comment. It’s clear that he’s struggling to remain relevant & in the news. What better way to attempt that by saying something so over the top. Creating this controversy gave this fool another three minutes on his fading fifteen minutes of fame. I guess his upcoming appearance on “Celebrity Apprentice” wasn’t enough.

I’ll tell you; today, I suffered the biggest racial tension headache that I’ve experienced since Don Dumb Imus said with pride; “Them some nappy headed hoes.”

2008 Presidential elections, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton

By Eddie Griffin who is devising a counter-strategy called “One Flew Over the Coo-Coo Nest“.

Wednesday, March 05, 2008

Rosalyn writes:

I am so ashamed to be a Texan today! I want Mr. Obama to know that he should have won the state of Texas. I have family and friends all over the state of Texas who are all saying the same thing. First of all, conservatives like Rush Limbaugh encouraged Republicans to vote for Hillary in the primaries and I know that some did. Those same people did not want to commit enough to return to the caucuses. The support for Mr. Obama at the caucuses was overwhelming compared to little or no support for Hillary Clinton. People in Texas are so discouraged. We do not believe the outcome is accurate and trust me when I say that the Democratic Party had better be very careful with assuming that voters will continue to support a dirty party… If Mr. Obama wants to win, it’s time for him to pressure Ms. Clinton with the hard questions.

Eddie Griffin responds:

There is no one in this whole wide world that is more disappointed at Obama losing Texas it is Eddie Griffin. After all, I saw what they did to the image of his character within the last 72 hours of the March 4 primaries.

Let me say that everybody on the Obama Team fought a good fight. In the end, they say, Hillary Clinton won Texas. She won a total of 2 candidates by plurality vote. We, of the Obama Team, is fighting to gain the caucus delegate vote. It looks like we at least gained back the 2 lost delegates in the precinct caucuses. But it was an ugly fight in Texas on convention night.

There were hundreds of complaints filed with the Elections Administrators. This was a Texas nightmare, of which we warned the Tarrant County Commissioners.

I share in your passion and also in your belief, when you write:

I am encouraging people to keep the faith and to get more involved in the fight. We see that Mr. Obama is a gentleman, but do not ever congradulate cheaters. They are so comfortable with stealing votes and there is no honor in that. That alone is why so many Americans have not voted previously. As I told others, we had a three-to-one advantage on the ground. It showed in early voting, where Obama immediately opened up a 50,000 vote lead. We won the precinct caucus that night. So, how did we lose the mass vote? I have speculated that question, but there are some real factors that contributed to Obama’s defeat.

What Barack Obama Must Do

Keep the high road and keep the hope alive. Never mind that they threw everything at you, including the Kitchen Sink. Never stoop as low as your opponent.

Swallow your pride, if you see your lose in Texas as a defeat. Run on for the helpless and the hopeless. Keep your head straight and be proud to be the first African-American President of the United States.

Hillary Clinton Has Not Won Texas

As the world turns from Texas to the next primary and caucus states, let me say, Hillary Clinton ain’t won nothing yet here in Texas. At last word, we were taking the lion’s share of the caucus delegates. They are still counting and I am afraid the Powers-That-Be might try to steal these also. Will they steal the last hope of the poor?

A Dollar and some change from Iowa

More words of wisdom from brother Eddie:

By Eddie Griffin
Friday, January 04, 2008
I don’t want to hear it from the mass media. Only a few days ago, they predicted Edwards and Romney to win in Iowa. They were wrong. And to prove that two wrongs don’t make a right, they are again wrong about why Obama and Huckabee won. They believe that if you put a dollar into Iowa that you will get two cents back in change. So much for their two cents worth of opinions, I would rather trust the America people’s true sentiments. Put a dollar into Iowa and you get a dollar and two cents change back.

Explaining that kind of math to my 83-year old mother was hard. She still sees tearing a dollar into and giving half to the Republicans and half to the Democrats. Her thinking is influenced by the media that still sees a country divided and dichotomized along party lines and polarized by partisan thinking.

The new math goes like this: Of all the Iowans who went to the caucus, Obama won 38% on a message of Change; Huckabee won 34% on a message of Change; and John Edwards won 30% on a message of Change. Altogether, that’s 102% in Change, or “A Dollar and Two Cents” in Change.

What does that mean?

It means a resounding repudiation of President George Bush. No change for him, just a message of stay the course. He doesn’t get it. People are crying for change. Bring the boys and girls home from Iraq- the sooner the better. We cannot go to war in the name of a lie and turn around and make it right with after-the-fact rationalization. People no longer see Weapons of Mass Destruction. They see a fight over oil and oil is no longer cheap.

There was a time when we put on blinders and went to war. Although we hate bombing and killing other people, we would shrug our shoulders and say, “Well at least we are benefiting from cheap oil prices.” No more. All we see now are the faces of our children displayed on the nightly news, killed in action, maimed for life, and traumatized by endless recurring deployments into the combat zone. The American people are crying: “Bring our children home. We are tired of fighting over oil in the name of national security. Maybe we can broker peace in the world by talking to all parties, including reconciliation with our former allies.”

But isn’t a repudiation of George Bush a repudiation of the Republican Party?

Wrong again. That’s what the dumb media would have us believe. A dollar and some change in Iowa is a Return on Investment made in 2006, when the mass of American people kicked out every possible politician they could- out of Washington, out of state houses, and out of local office. The mass media don’t get it either- the fact that we are sick of looking at and listening to double-talking incumbents. A dollar and two cents worth of change says kick all the bums out. We want a complete change. We want a dollar in new economic hope. We are just longing to wake up one morning with a new outlook, instead of watching our job being outsourced overseas.

Notice also, we said nothing about Obama’s color or race. Yet the first to mention the fact that Obama was African-American was the mass media, who still sees everything in black and white. Talk about playing the Race Card, was it African-Americans or the media who started this whole thing about white Iowans and a black presidential candidate? The young voters have spoken: “The times they are a’ changing.”

Who, but the dumb media, is doing all this Monday morning quarterbacking? They slice the dice and come up with idiocies like this: Obama overcame the racial gap, the gender gap, the age gap, and the income gap. But when we look at 102% of what the Iowans were saying, there is no gap, only gap-makers.

I don’t have to listen to the mass media, because the credibility of mainstream journalists is gone the way of the winds of change. Everybody knows now that media commentators and pundits are doing nothing more than “mouthing” the sentiments of their sponsors- for the sake of their paychecks and for the sake of more corporate hegemony. But for two cents worth of opinions, they have come up a dollar short.
